Melt 8oz of chocalte over hot water in a double boiler. Beat 4 eggs very well with salt. Still beating, add 10oz of sugar, melted chocolate, 4oz of butter and one teasp of vanilla essence. Add 4oz of flour and beat until smooth. Add 5oz of chopped nuts. Pour into an oiled oblong tin 9x13x2 inches and bake in a warm oven (325 F) for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
